What is Weights AI?

Weights AI is an AI cover generator that runs in your browser. Pick one of 2,000+ community voices, or train a model of your own voice, upload a song, and get your AI cover in about a minute. Signing in gives you free credits every day, so you can start without paying.

An AI cover, also called an AI song cover or AI voice cover, is an existing song sung in a different voice. The AI separates the vocal from the music, re-sings the vocal with the voice you pick, and puts the music back underneath. The melody, lyrics and timing stay the same; only the voice changes, which is how SpongeBob ends up singing Billie Jean in the demo above.

The voices are RVC voice models, each trained on recordings of one singer, character or speaker. They are shared by the community, and voices of real people are unofficial fan models.

Everything you need for great AI covers

  • 2,000+ AI voices

Singers, rappers, cartoon and video game characters, anime characters and streamers, shared by the Weights AI community.

  • Your own voice

Train a private voice model from 10 minutes of your singing, then make voice covers with it like any other voice.

  • Pitch matching

Covering a female singer with a male voice, or the other way round? One setting moves the key so it sounds natural.

  • Any common audio file

Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC or OGG files up to 50 MB, or record yourself singing in the browser.

  • Ready in about a minute

The vocal is separated, re-sung in the new voice and mixed back with the music, so your AI cover is done in about a minute.

  • Download as MP3

Save your AI song cover, share it with friends, or play it again later from your history.

Ideas for your next AI voice cover

Stuck on what to make? A few kinds of AI covers that work well:

  • SpongeBob SquarePantsPeter Griffin

    Cartoon characters singing hits

SpongeBob on Billie Jean, Peter Griffin on a power ballad: the less likely the pairing, the funnier the AI cover.

  • Freddie MercuryBillie Eilish

    One singer in another's song

Make a voice cover of a rock anthem in Freddie Mercury's voice, or hear a ballad sung by Billie Eilish.

  • Your voice on any song

Train your voice once and hear yourself sing songs you never recorded, in a key that suits you.

  • MarioSonicSatoru GojoKasane Teto

    Game and anime favorites

Mario, Sonic, Gojo or Kasane Teto: a song cover from outside their world is half the fun.

Make an AI voice cover with your own voice

Record 10 minutes or more of yourself singing without music, and Weights AI trains a private voice model in about 15 to 30 minutes. Then make song covers with it, just like with a community voice.

Train your voice
  1. Your recordings10 minutes or more of a cappella singing
  2. Your private voice modelTrained in about 15 to 30 minutes
  3. Your AI coversAny song, sung in your own voice

Change the genre instead

Want a soul, Motown or lo-fi version of a song, not just a new voice? The genre changer remakes the whole song in a new style, sung by an original AI voice.

Tips for better AI covers

  1. 1Songs with one clear lead vocal make the best AI covers; heavy harmonies and shouted ad-libs are harder.
  2. 2Match the range: if the new voice is much higher or lower than the original singer, use the "Male → female" or "Female → male" pitch setting.
  3. 3Studio recordings beat live versions, because crowd noise and reverb end up in the vocal.
  4. 4If one model of a voice sounds off on your song, try another version of the same voice on its page.
  5. 5Training your own voice? Record 10 minutes or more of a cappella singing in a quiet room.

Questions

Are Weights AI covers free?

Yes, to start. Each AI cover uses 10 credits, and signing in with Google or email gives you 20 free credits a day, enough for about 2 covers. The Creator plan adds more credits, a faster queue and voice training.

Do AI covers sound realistic?

With the right song, very close. A studio recording with one clear lead vocal gives the most natural result, and the voice model matters too: popular voices have several versions, so if one sounds off, try another.

Which voices can I use for AI covers?

There are 2,000+ community voice models: singers, rappers, cartoon and video game characters, anime characters, YouTubers and more. You can also train a model of your own voice.

What files can I upload?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC or OGG files up to 50 MB, which fits a full-length song. You can also record yourself singing in the browser.

Can I make an AI cover with my own voice?

Yes. Record or upload 10 minutes or more of your singing and we train a private voice model you can use for a voice cover of any song.

Is this a Weights.gg alternative?

Yes. Weights.gg shut down on April 1, 2026. Here you can keep making AI covers with community RVC voices, and train a voice model of your own.

Can I post or release my AI covers?

Covers that use a real person's voice are for personal, non-commercial use. To make something you can release, use the genre changer: it is sung by an original AI voice.
